(Greensburg, PA)- The Pennsylvania Department of Health has confirmed 76 positive cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus. As of today, there are no known cases in Westmoreland County. Many measures are being appropriated to ensure the deceleration of the virus. For the district office, located in the Crossroads Plaza, this includes limiting contact between individuals and practicing safe social distancing.
The district office remains open and operating. However, no constituent walk-ins will be allowed in order to help contain the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus and protect the health and safety of local residents and office staff. Senator Kim Ward states “Many resources are now being shifted to address this current state of emergency”.
Senator Kim Ward and staff will continue to monitor and respond to emails and phone messages, and every effort will be made to reschedule in-person meetings that will be postponed during this time. In addition, all events and meetings are postponed until further notice. This includes the Human Trafficking Discussion previously scheduled for March 26th, 2020.
