WESTMORELAND – Today, Senate President Pro Tempore Kim Ward (R-39) issued the following statement on the 23rd Anniversary of September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States of America:
“We must never forget what happened on September 11, 2001, when the United States of America faced one of its most gut-wrenching moments with the terrorist attacks on our country’s soil. It not only changed our nation, but our commonwealth. We will never forget those who fought back against the terrorists that day. We honor those Pennsylvanians who courageously helped others including the first responders and ordinary heroes from across our state, many of whom are from the communities I serve just 50 miles from Shanksville. Together, we remember the 23rd Anniversary of one of the darkest days in our nation’s history.”
